A funeral celebrant is someone trained and qualified to host and officiate a funeral service. In addition to conducting the service itself, a celebrant is involved in planning the order of service, the music and writing the eulogy (if required) to create a personal, heartfelt service.
The biggest benefit of having a celebrant led funeral is their inclusivity and understanding. They allow, and guide, you to create a ceremony that is a true reflection of your loved one.
Gone are the days of having a ‘run of the mill’ funeral ceremony. A celebrant will listen to the life of your loved one and remind mourners of the life lived in all its glory.
I will visit you at a place of your choosing and collate all information you wish to impart upon me for inclusion at the ceremony.
Things you may wish to consider include:
This is your choice. Some people will leave the majority of the speaking to the celebrant with only a reading or poem to be given by a family member. Other families wish to hold most of the speaking parts themselves.
There is no right or wrong way to orchestrate a funeral. It’s however you feel comfortable.
A wedding celebrant is someone trained and qualified to host and officiate your ceremony.
Choosing to have an independent civil celebrant to conduct your wedding adds to an extremely personal ceremony. The service will be longer, can be more fun and entertaining to your guests, and will be unique to you. However it does mean you will need to complete the legalyl paperwork separate at a registry office to make your marriage legally binding. This is easy to do at your local registry office.
Anywhere! Absolutely anywhere! You do need to consider practicalities (if you wish to have a service in the middle of a muddy field or on a rowing boat out at sea!), but otherwise anywhere of your choosing (with permission, if required).
Planning a ceremony can feel overwhelming. I’m happy to answer your questions and offer support every step of the way.
